Do you have a love of sports? Are you adventurous? Do you like to hang out with like-minded sports enthusiasts? Are you looking for an opportunity to bring your unchurched friends to a low impact event to introduce them to Jesus? If you answered, “Yes!” to any of these questions, then Rainier View Sports and Adventure ministry is for you. Fulfilling a Mission! The Sports & Adventure Ministry at Rainier View Christian Church exists both to help lost people find Jesus, and to build relationships with those in the church through athletic competition and sporting events. Setting a Vision! To see sports as an avenue to build bridges with the community, to keep consistent contact with it, to witness through visual and verbal testimony and to serve the church through the building of community and friendship. Reaching a Goal! Evangelism - The focus of our ministry is intentional in using sports as a means to share the good news of Jesus Christ! Excellence - The commitment of our ministry is to offer quality athletic programs. Exercise - The benefit of our ministry is that the body of Christ will be good stewards of their bodies. Enjoyment - The reward of our ministry is people coming to Christ as well as believers enjoying the richness of Christian fellowship. Examples - The key to effective ministry is the way leaders, coaches, and athletes model the Christian lifestyle. Who is Eligible to Participate? All RVCC sports programs are open to adults ages 18 and older. Some events do allow children or youth to participate and some are for the whole family. You don't have to be a member of Rainier View Christian Church in order to participate in any of our events or athletic programs.
