Why are Missions Important? The Bible is clear that God has always intended to draw people from all nations into His family. He told Abraham that “all people on the earth will be blessed through you.” Genesis 12:3 Psalms 96:3 says, “Declare his glory among the nations, His marvelous deeds among all peoples.” Most importantly, Jesus commanded his followers to “Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.” Matthew 28:19-20 The Missions Program at Rainier View Christian Church is a response to God’s clear mandate and Jesus’ Great Commission! Rainier View Christian Church supports a variety of missionaries both locally and cross culturally. These individuals and families serve from right here in the United States to Hong Kong and beyond. We also have annual short-term mission trips to Mexico, Chile, and other countries, providing an opportunity for those from Rainier View Christian Church who wish to be involved in serving as missionaries in a short-term capacity.
