The Lost and Found Overcomers Outreach 12-Step Recovery Group of Rainier View Christian Church held its first meeting July 18, 1997. We are a “bridge” group between traditional 12-Step Recovery groups and the church with a style and approach that is based on a proven national organization called Overcomers Outreach. Our Christian 12-Step Recovery group meets to study God’s word as it relates directly to the 12 steps of Alcoholics Anonymous. We carry the message of Christ’s transforming power to individuals and family members who still suffer both inside and outside of the church. The Great Physician, Jesus Christ, has provided us a way to heal and unify ourselves with Him. God’s word provides the answers and we provide the meetings where people can come and be with others to receive love, encouragement, and the proper tools to overcome these problems. It’s a time of praying, sharing and finding solutions in a non-condemning and anonymous setting. The Bible commands us “admit your faults to one another and pray for each other so that you may be healed.” (James 5:16) The good news is that we no longer have to wage the battle by ourselves - there is plenty of help available if we are open to receive it! We welcome you to join us at Rainier View Christian Church's Parkland Campus on Friday nights from 7:00 – 8:30 PM Childcare is available for $2 per child/hour. To arrange childcare, call the church office at (253) 531-0757 during church office hours (Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM:00 PM), but no later than 4:00 PM on Friday.
