Why should I log in to RVCC Connect?

How do I log in to RVCC Connect?
- To log in, click the link in the footer of this page.
- If you already have a username and password, simply plug them in and login.
- If you don’t yet have a username and password, click “Sign Up” (under the Login button) and fill in the form. If an email match is found in our system, a login activation email will automatically be sent to you. If no email match is found or you have the same email as another active user, a message will be sent to the administrator, who will send you an activation email.
How do I edit my profile?
- After logging in for the first time, the most important thing you can do is to update your profile. This will ensure that our records are correct and allow you to fix any errors. You get to your profile by clicking your name at the top right corner of the “Home” screen after logging in. Click "Profile" when the drop down menu appears.
- To edit your profile, click “edit profile” under profile settings in the right column of your profile page. Notice that across the top of your profile page, you can choose different types of information to update (basic, address, social, etc).
- We hope you’ll upload a picture of yourself. We would be especially grateful if it is a picture of you, not your adorable grandbaby or your pet. Think of this as a church directory that will help us get better at putting faces and names together.
- You will see your name at the top of the page. If you are married and/or have children, you should see them listed below. If you don’t see them click on the tab that says “Family.” If you still don’t see them, let us know. Please don’t try to fix this yourself.
- You can also edit the information for your family. Simply choose the family member you wish to edit and click “edit profile” under profile settings in the right column of your profile page.
IS MY INFORMATION SAFE IN RVCC CONNECT?
Yes, Your information is completely secure
WHO CAN SEE MY INFORMATION?
That is completely up to you. By default what can be seen by other regular RVCC members and attenders is a picture, your name, your mailing address, a contact phone number and a link that says, "send email" but not your actual email address. However, when editing your profile, you can also edit your privacy settings for each part of your profile. We do encourage you to leave the default settings, as they provide basically the same information that would be available in a paper church directory.
CAN MY SPOUSE AND I SHARE A PROFILE? WE DO ON FACEBOOK.
Unlike Facebook and other social media sites where a couple can share a profile, it is ESSENTIAL that each individual in a family maintains a separate profile. This allows us to care for each member of a family individually.
WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS FOR USERNAME AND PASSWORD?
Your username can be your email, your name, or anything else you'd like it to be. However, if multiple members of your household share an email, only one person in a household can use any single email as his/her username. Your password must simply be at least six characters including letters and numbers
CAN OTHERS SEE INFORMATION ABOUT MY YOUNG CHILDREN?
No. Children under 13 are hidden from all but their own family, church staff, and a few other approved leaders (i.e. the child's teacher).
WHAT DO THE DIFFERENT PRIVACY SETTINGS MEAN?
- "Everybody" as you might expect means all Basic Users logged in to CCB CONNECT. This includes members and regular attenders at Rainier View.
- "Friends & Group Members" are the people in the small groups you belong to and the people you chose to let see your information. If you're used to Facebook, "Friend" does not mean the same thing in RVCC CONNECT. In this instance, you simply choose the people that you want to allow additional access to your information by making them your "Friends."
- "Friends Only" means exactly that, only the people you've chosen to be your "Friends."
- "Church Leadership Only" means only the church staff and select leaders have access to the information.
WHAT ARE GROUPS?
“Groups” have been/will be created in RVCC Connect for all Community Groups and many other RVCC groups that are ongoing. When you log in, you will see the groups to which you belong in a list to the right of the screen or by clicking the “Groups” tab to the right of the “Home” tab. Every person belongs to the “Entire Church Group” and either “Rainier View – Parkland” or “Rainier View – Graham.” We’ve done our best to associate you with the campus you generally attend, but if we’re mistaken, you can change this by editing your profile.
WILL I GET SOLICITATIONS?
We will not give your contact information to any third party solicitors. What you may get, unless you unsubscribe, are all-church emails and e-communications from other groups to which you belong.
